Seasons have Purpose

Genesis 1:14 (ESV) - "And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years,

Reflection

God created the sun, moon, and stars to mark seasons. Each season serves a purpose. Without them, life on earth could not be sustained.

Though some seasons may feel uncomfortable, they are necessary. Without rain, there would be drought. Without the cold, certain cycles of life would not exist. God, in His wisdom, designed every season for a reason.

Our lives also go through seasons, times of joy and times of difficulty, times of growth and times of waiting. Scripture encourages us to give thanks in all circumstances (1 Thessalonians 5:16–18), trusting that God is at work in every season.

Even painful experiences shape us. Through hardship, we grow in patience, compassion, and dependence on God. We become more understanding toward others and learn to rely on His grace rather than our own strength.

God uses every season to transform us into the image of His Son. Nothing is wasted in His hands. Are you facing a difficult situation right now? You can trust in His wisdom and rest in His grace during difficult seasons.

Closing Prayer

Lord, thank You for every season in my life. Help me to trust You and grow through each one. Amen.
